"Moon Phase" to carry your own moon

The most distinctive feature of this wristwatch is the "moon phase".
It is a popular complication in mechanical watches, and in this watch, it is a function that allows you to know the "phases of the moon" such as full moons and crescent moons by the rotation of the moon phase plate located at the 6 o'clock position.
This time, we are presenting it with a cost-effective quartz movement.
Compared to mechanical watches, overhauls are not required every few years, and while mechanical watches typically have a daily variation of ±10 to 30 seconds, quartz watches have a monthly variation of ±20 seconds, meaning less frequent adjustments are needed to display accurate time. This allows you to enjoy the moon phase more casually.
Of course, the charm of the moon phase itself is not lost just because it is a quartz watch.
The sight of the moon phase disk gradually rotating and changing its appearance day by day continues to captivate many people, regardless of the driving method.
The ever-changing face of the moon.
Please enjoy this solemn and brilliant design that expresses its mysterious and romantic beauty as a wristwatch.

"Seigaiha" wishing for eternal peaceful life

The moon phase display features the "Seigaiha" (blue ocean waves), a traditional Japanese pattern that is said to have existed since the Heian period.
The Seigaiha pattern, with its infinitely spreading waves, embodies wishes for eternal happiness and peaceful living.
It is also said to be a pattern of "ever-expanding fortune" due to its fan-like shape, and is believed to bring good luck.
However, there was concern that if this pattern was too prominent, it would create an overly "Japanese" atmosphere, making it difficult to wear in certain outfits or situations.
Therefore, we incorporated this auspicious pattern into the moon phase dial, while maintaining a "versatile classic aesthetic".
We hope you enjoy the subtle elegance that quietly and gently hints at its "Japanese" origin.

One-of-a-kind "Mother of Pearl"

The dial uses "Mother of Pearl", which is the processed nacre layer found inside pearl oyster shells (shells that produce pearls).
The unique, silky iridescent luster is created by the mixture of minerals secreted by the pearl oyster to protect its body, and this color and luster are the charm of mother-of-pearl.
Although not precisely a stone (mineral), it is recognized as a type of power stone, and its gemstone meanings are "health, wealth, longevity, purity, and harmony."
This time, we offer two dial colors, white and black. The difference in color comes from the type of mother-of-pearl shell; white is made from "white butterfly shell," and black is made from "black butterfly shell," both being natural colors.
Since they are created by nature, no two patterns or lusters are exactly alike.
The unique beauty of each piece is exclusively for the person who holds it in their hands.
A wristwatch with such a gleam is also recommended as a gift for loved ones.
The moon, the sky, the sea - calm moments with things that are always there

The three elements that make up the dial design of this wristwatch are:
Moon Phase → Moon
Seigaiha → Sea
Mother of Pearl → Sky
These elements are envisioned to create a single scene, like a painting, on the dial.
The black dial is the evening sky.
─ Evening is the end of the day, a time for lingering anticipation of tomorrow.
The white dial is the dawn sky.
─ Dawn is the beginning of the day, a time enveloped in the light of hope.
We hope that this wristwatch will bring you gentle and peaceful moments, as if you are gazing at the moon floating in the sky from the seashore.

No Compromise on Case Materials

Not only the design and material of the dial, but also the selection of basic components for the wristwatch itself is meticulous.
The case is made of 316L stainless steel, which is also used in medical equipment.
Also known as surgical stainless steel, it is said to be "more resistant to rust" and "less prone to scratches" compared to regular stainless steel.
The windshield is made of sapphire glass.
Compared to mineral crystal glass, which is commonly used, it is a harder material, making it resistant to scratches and breakage.
It boasts a Mohs hardness of 9, which means only diamonds (Mohs hardness 10) can scratch it.
These materials are also adopted in high-end Swiss watches and significantly impact manufacturing costs, but we adopted them without compromise, with the desire for you to enjoy this wristwatch for a long time.
Balanced and "Complete" Information in a 36mm Case

In addition to the aforementioned moon phase, it also features a calendar function that is often checked daily.
The two square windows near the center of the dial display the day of the week and the month, and the red-tipped hand extending from the center indicates the date (pointer date).
A watch equipped with these three calendar mechanisms is called a "triple calendar," and one that also includes a moon phase is called a "complete calendar."
"Complete" means "perfect".
The ability to display complete calendar information is also valuable in business settings.
The hour and minute hands that display the time feature leaf hands that exude nobility with a touch of charm.
The elegant Roman numeral indices, with the brand mark at the 12 o'clock position.
While too much information can sometimes give a cluttered or intimidating impression, this design is for a 36mm diameter case that fits well on the wrist, yet remains simple and elegant, and is designed to be enjoyed in a wider range of situations.
Its gender-neutral size allows it to be worn by anyone, regardless of gender.
"Deerskin," the cashmere of leather

The strap is made of deerskin.
Deerskin is soft and supple, and is a luxury material often called "the cashmere of leather".
Its soft texture is said to be similar to human skin, and it is known for its excellent breathability and moisture absorption, with its smooth flexibility maintained for a long time.
As proof of this, there are deerskin items dating back over 1000 years preserved in the Shosoin Repository, some of which are said to still retain their flexibility and fresh colors.
Since it uses a one-touch lever spring bar, it can be easily attached to other watches (including the previous JPW model, JP-001).
The attachment width is 18mm.

"JAPAN MADE" assembled in our own workshop
At our booth in Osaka, skilled craftsmen who have handled watches for many years assemble each watch individually.
Should repairs or maintenance ever be needed, you can rest assured that someone who assembled the watch and is familiar with its structure will perform the work.
